The master`s degree is one of the most popular postgraduate degrees available and demonstrates a high level of expertise in a particular area. It is a level 7 qualification on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), which is above a bachelor`s degree but below a doctoral degree.
Master`s degrees require an intensive level of academic study, which is more challenging than bachelor`s degrees. In addition to your existing qualifications and experience, you will gain a deeper understanding of a particular subject matter.
A full-time master`s will see you take 180 credits over a 12-month period. There are lots of different types of master’s available. We offer MSc:

You may submit applications for a maximum of two graduate programmes for entry to the 2022/23 academic year. The applications must be for different programmes. Please note that if an application fee is charged, it will be charged per application.

You are welcome to submit an application before taking an English language test.If you do so, and we choose to make you an offer, demonstrating that you meet the relevant English language standard will form part of your offer conditions.You will need to send us the results of an accepted English language test by the deadline specified in your offer. We encourage you to make preparations to take an English language test as soon as you can to make sure you meet the relevant standard (either standard or higher – see our course pages for details).

The process of arranging your CAS number will begin when it is less than three months before your course starts and when you have accepted an Unconditional offer.
Note: Students should try to make sure they are ready for a visa application. This includes maintaining suitable funds in their accounts in readiness for a visa application and applying for a TB certificate if applicable.
You can apply for up to two courses in an academic year.
We will consider your application for Master’s courses in the order they are submitted so it is important to list your preferred course as your first choice and your reserve course as your second choice.
Your second choice application will only be considered if you are unsuccessful at gaining a place on your first choice programme.
If you are applying for two Master or Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma courses you should put both your first and second choice on one application form. You should not submit two separate applications.
Applications are considered on a rolling basis and therefore may close earlier than the advertised deadline. We recommend that you submit your application as soon as possible. A programme may remain open after the general deadline (31 March 2022) if places are still available and will be closed as soon as it is full or by 30 June 2022.

Most programmes operate an informal interview system whereby applicants are invited to discuss their programme of study with staff. Some hold compulsory interviews. A telephone interview may be possible for those who are unable to attend in person
It is not possible to submit an application once the application deadline has passed and the programme has closed to new applications. Applications can be submitted up to 5 pm (UK time) on the deadline date advertised. If you have missed the deadline you will only be able to submit an application for the next admissions cycle.

We aim to make application decisions within 8 weeks of receiving a complete application, which includes your references and any supporting documents. This decision timeframe may vary throughout the year, especially during peak periods and if the selection process includes an interview.
In addition, if you have applied for a particular funded opportunity, the decision may take longer and you should check the relevant programme/scholarship pages for details.
If you have waited more than 8 weeks and are unsure of your application stage, or have particular concerns, please contact the relevant Admissions team for an update.
You are not required to provide a CV with your application. However, it can often be a good way to summarise your education and work experience.
Yes, if you apply for more than one programme the fee is payable for each application that requires an application fee.
An application fee receipt email will usually be issued to you within 15 working days of your payment being made. If 15 working days have passed and you have not received a fee payment receipt, please contact Admissions on +44 (0)20 8059 0939. You may also receive confirmation of the payment from Barclaycard.
If your programme requires an application fee then your application cannot be considered until the payment is made successfully. When you submitted your application, you should have been directed to the payment page. If you closed the browser before making a payment, or the payment was not successful, you should receive an email from us within 24 hours of submitting your application which will contain a link to pay.
Application fees are non-refundable.

and the course you wish to consider instead
We will consider all change requests, though we may not always be able to approve them, depending on your application and admission status at the point that we receive your request.

You can still apply even if you haven’t yet received your final transcript or your Certificate of English proficiency.
You will receive a conditional offer which will state what qualifications and grades you will need to achieve in order to meet our entry requirements. Once you have received evidence of obtaining your qualifications you can upload them to our E-Vision portal after which you will receive an unconditional offer once all conditions have been met.
